There is almost no such thing as privacy on the Internet. Anything you do is logged, it can be tracked to your computer and it can have many other consequences which you wouldn't want to suffer. VPN clients are ideal for situations like this and CyberGhost is a shiny example of such applications. It can redirect your Internet traffic through a Virtual Private Network (VPN) and, as a result, you will be able to surf the web anonymously and bypass region-related restrictions.

CyberGhost's sleek user interface and its straightforward controls enable you to connect to a VPN on the fly. Clicking a large on/off button is sufficient to redirect your Internet traffic, but you can also make a few settings along the way. By default, the application will automatically connect you to a random server, but you can set it to establish a different connection, to simulate a specific IP and country.

While connected to a VPN, you will appear with a different IP address, as if you were from another location. To help you understand its functionality better, the application displays a map of the world on its main interface, on which you can find your current location. Once you connect to a VPN, your location marker will be moved to the simulated location.

Pros

It takes a single click to connect to a VPN. The application allows you to connect VPNs from various countries. Its user interface has a modern and elegant design.

Cons

You may need to wait in a queue when connecting with the free version. With CyberGhost on your Mac, a few clicks is all it takes to protect your identity and rights on the Internet.
